Operations Theaters, Laboratories and Sterilization Sector for South Oil Company’s Hospital in Basra

 Introduction

South Oil Company Intends to invite specialist companies to submit for design, construction and furnishing of three operations (surgical, orthopedics and emergency) theaters ,recovery room, labs (Biochemistry, bacteriology, hematology and blood bank) and Sterilization Sector.   As per attached sheets and drawings, for its hospital in Basra.

The hospital is located within the administrative boundaries of Basra and within the area which belongs to South Oil Company in Basra’s center.

The hospital is designed on an area of 3000m². The building is a three storey building with five wings. Each wing is of 500m² and there is a core in the middle with an area of 1500m².The wings are connected together.

There are surgical and burning, medical, orthopedical, emergency and radiology departments. The capacity of the hospital is 100 beds.

Scope of work:

The operations theaters and the recovery room are located on the second floor of the 5^th wing.  The frame of the

building is a structural concrete frame as per attached drawings. The first theater is for surgical operations, the

second is for orthopedics and the third one is for emergency.

Sterilization sector is located on the first floor of the 5^th wing as per attached drawings.

The labs are located on the ground floor of the 3^rd wing as per attached drawings. They are Biochemistry,

Bacteriology, Hematology and Blood Bank.

The scope of work is a turnkey method   as follows:

1-Complete design of:

·        Mechanical works: medical gas system, fire fighting and alarm system, ventilation and air-conditioning system.etc

·        Electrical and communication works: lighting system (normal and emergency), earthing system, power system,Ups and

Dc system, Internet and telephone. Monitoring and calling system.etc

·        Civil works:  Sanitary and sewage system, partitions, doors and windows, finishing such as tiles, paintings wherever is needed.

2-Construction of item 1 above, including all the finishing works such as painting tiles and partitions if necessary.

3- Supply and installation of all the equipments needed such as: anesthesia machine, operating table, lightings, labs apparatus as required and sterilization machines .

4- Furnishing where it is necessary.

 Notes:

·      SOC shall only provide a source of electricity and water.

·      All the apparatus and equipments must be new and have European, American or Japanese origin.

·      Catalogues, manufacturer name, country of origin, data sheets, and technical specifications must be forwarded.

·      Training courses for engineers, doctors and staff are needed for both maintenance and operating techniques.

·      There shall be 2 years of maintenance for all the equipments and apparatus.

·      CV of the company to be submitted for prequalification.

·      The Bidder shall submit complete technical offer covering the scope of supply within three weeks.

·      Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
